Any one scene connects seamlessly, in the highly refined R-G manner rationally to those that precede and follow, but will completely be at odds with nearly anything else we’re told outside of that window.

La Maison de rendez-vous was published a year after In C premiere, and while this is a random fact I needed to start the review, the book has a strikingly similar usage of repetitions and slow changes common in minimalist music.
